The architect behind the breathtaking landscaping and design of the golf course was Edmund B. Ault. Ault was a Construction Engineer who entered a private practice for course design in the late 1940s.
As a talented designer, Ed Ault was known for designing and remodeling all the golf courses in Virginia and Maryland and Juniata Golf Course.
Golfing
In 1923, the golf course’s initial development began on a 66-acre area along the Tacony Creek that extended to Juniata Park. After a few years of development, the course opened to the public in July of 1927, with a total of 9 holes available.
The course was designed for all skill levels and age groups, making it the perfect outings for families and friends.
